    Joshua Zirkzee

Yeah that's fine, just wanted to clarify on that point because the article in the OP makes it look like a sure thing. The Gibson deal looks pretty much done at least.

Brilliant young players - what does the future look like?

Always good to know that in this ever changing world of Everton you're still as miserable as ever, nice to have some normalcy.

    Joshua Zirkzee

Without wanting to be the party pooper, we haven't signed either of them yet and all the evidence of us getting this kid can be best described as shaky, all seems to stem from him landing at John Lennon instead of London and I've seen nothing else so far that substantiates the talk.

    Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Stones might end up better than Williams and Kone but I know I'd be a lot more at ease with those two at the back than Stones - Funes Mori. Even better if we get them + Bony for less than we get for Stones.

Everton - in ten years time

Hate to remind you of the constant march of time ticking down but that was 8 years ago mate.

    Notes from a Small Seat

I do love the idea of a guy going to Goodison and pulling out a pair of binoculars to watch the match. It's not Camp Nou mate.

    Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

I mean you must know that is not even remotely true right? The gulf in quality between the two is enormous, the gulf in quality between Witsel and any of our centre mids apart from Barry (God I wish he was 5 years younger) is enormous. The price is excessive but he would undoubtedly be a big...

Amazing how determined Zat is to stick to his warped logic of judging Koeman on mistakes he made 7 years ago instead of the 5 years of success that have led to the much better manager he is today. Not every manager can do a Pep and be successful from day one, it's a constant learning process and...

Until Feyenoord. So he made mistakes in his first few jobs, learnt from them and has improved to the point where he's been a successful manager held in high regard by the fans of the clubs he's spent his last five years at? I'd say it's substantially more insightful to judge him on the manager...

I am so relieved to see Zat is very much opposed to Koeman, was concerned he might not be that great but Zatara thinking he's rubbish really goes a long way to confirming that he'll be pretty great.

Homepage Update: Everton Sign Sambou (2019 edit - released)

One is an 18 year old with a single senior game to his name, the other is a 21 year old Swiss international with 50 odd senior games under his belt, pretty obvious who will be ahead of the pecking order for now. Yeah clubs signing players under 23 are required to pay compensation to the...

How to determine the "Bigger Club"

I tend to find that if a clubs fans feel the need to constantly big up how big their club is then they're not all that big a club, our constant focus on how big we are in relation to others tends to make us look small time and we're better than that.

That's a very bold statement mate.

I was under the impression the rules were that you could only make a loss of £5m across a set period with a cap on annual contributions to the figure by owners of about £35-40m per season? Have the rules been loosened? Either way I can't see us spending £100m net, I'm expecting the £65m from...

To put that sum in to context, the only club that spent £100m+ net last season was Man City and their income is 3x ours, even with the increased TV deal that would be half of our annual income before taking in to account current expenses and additional cost of wages from new signings, wouldn't...

Where's the proof that the budget is £100m BEFORE player sales? £100m net spend even with Moshiris investment seems very unrealistic. @Brennan
