    2023/24 Sean Dyche

Was going to say, for someone who (like most at Talksport) comes out with garbage and often knows it, he's actually pretty spot on there.

I'd like it to be mathematically done before Luton mainly to shove it to Sky who were desperate to see a 6 pointer.

Be amazed if there wasn't some sort of drop off after the midweek exertions, but hopefully be proved wrong.

It's important to finish strongly. Help to improve the mentality going into next season. Don't just avoid relegation, finish nowhere near. You'll have to expect a more competitive points total required next year so the more we accrue this season, the more it helps the mentality imo.

Felt like he needed that yesterday, he's been a bit dodgy recently. Still, saves us several points season on season despite his misgivings. Absolute nutter.

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

Was going to say. He's done a more than acceptable job which means he's staying, so any discussion in terms of changing for next season is a waste of time. The best realistic hope is we avoid further deductions next year and can hopefully steer well clear of the bottom 3 sooner.

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

I don't think its about changing or not changing opinions. I think it's just being able to accept both sides of it. He's done an objectively good job in the most ridiculously challenging circumstances. He also has severe, infuriating limitations which means he's not someone we will likely...

I too hope we do them, we certainly owe them one. But at the same time would rather they stay up than Forest as that should be 1 spot sorted for next year, whereas with Forest I'm not so sure.

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

He has his strengths but he is technically speaking one of the worst players we've had in recent years. He legitimately can't pass a ball 10 yards without making it look unbelievably awkward.

Match Thread Everton 2-0 Liverpool - Chat, Match Report and MotM Poll

They were all over us in between 1-0 and 2-0, at that point I - and I dare say a lot of us - thought an equaliser was inevitable and likely the game would get away from us. I was actually quite shocked at how poor they were the last 20-25 mins, the 2nd goal killed them. Diaz hitting the post...

He may not be the long term solution but he's done a very good job in frankly absurd circumstances. Yes, you're allowed to acknowledge both sides of the argument can be true.

    2023/24 Jack Harrison

How can he play as well as he did tonight yet look hopeless a lot of the time? Bewildering.

Whatever you think about his tactics, I'm glad we have a manager who carries himself really well. Loved the instant "no" when asked about a day off.

Just concentrate on finishing the season as strongly as possible. Try to build some momentum to go into next season, finish way clear of the bottom 3. The points will take care of themselves.

Shout out for one of the worst free kicks I've ever seen - since Gomes on Sunday.

    2023/24 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Best performance in 2-3 years. Frustrating as well - shows what he could've done if he'd been fit consistently because on his day he's nearly unplayable.

Brilliant first 30 mins. If last 10 mins continue no way we hold on. Still, better than expected.

    Will regret that. They'll improve.
