I have no doubt that we tried, but given that we knew deals for our top targets, in Zaha and Zouma, would be very difficult it’s disappointing that we look to have left it too late to bring in our backup options.
Look to be missing out on a massive chance to close down the top 6. Massively disappointing unless we can bring in a centre back and winger in the last few minutes.
Some of our fans aren’t half weirdly paranoid with the way Sky talk about us.
Even if they don’t like us why on earth does that matter?
A lot of people don’t consider us a top club anymore, why does that shock so many people?
Rojo isn’t fine as backup. He’s a complete liability. His tackling is wreckless. Baffled as to what anyone has seen of him over the last few years to think he’s worth having at the club. Bringing Rojo in now that there’s VAR in the Prem would be utter stupidity.
Confident that Brands is gonna blag us a quality midfielder, a quality centre back and Zaha tomorrow.
Can see us bringing in 2 that we aren’t linked to atm too.
Brilliant if so, showing the ambition to challenge for that 4th Champions League spot amid the Arsenal/Chelsea/United uncertainty...
It baffles me too and it does worry me but I’d trust the fellas we have in charge to get things right. If clubs like Palace can demand 100 mil for Zaha and Bournemouth can demand 75 mil for Ake then you know just the magnitude of money that’s in this league, even at the bang average clubs.
I’d...
Be bizarre if we didn’t sell a player we don’t want and don’t need just because they don’t want to sell us their best player who they’re desperate to keep.
Crystal Palace know how much they want, it just seems that at the moment we’re unwilling to meet that
