    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

Don't assume that Frank rates the player though.
  2. Simon Buttle

Looks fit to play on Wednesday against Ukraine according to reports.

There is 2 threads mate, this one and a NP confirmed transfer one.

He isn't saying that though, he is saying that for 'me' ie him it's all about just playing football, thats all he wants.
  5. Simon Buttle

    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

Good, if the rest of the team had that kind of self confidence then we might actually win a game every now and again.
  6. Simon Buttle

    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

Surely if he is really immature then that is something that should be getting flagged up during scouting though?

I can understand it (annoying as it is) we signed a RB yet won't play him and would rather continue to play one of weakest links in our team simply because he is club captain.

It might just be down to inexperience and our position in the league but at the same time we may also need to face facts in that Frank maybe just doesn't fancy him (not an ideal scenario if its the case)

That means nothing if he is actually good enough, Ryan Giggs was totally left footed and was one of the best players ever in the PL, his right leg was literally just for balance purposes. Very few players are properly two footed.

I can only think they were worried that Slippy might come back in for him.

Think he is being kept back for next season tbh, although I really don't see why we signed him when we needed a first team ready RB and have done for the last 3 years, we could have left Patterson till the summer imo.

Lot's of players play as Internationals at younger age groups but end up doing nothing. Have to be honest, the Patterson thing is a bit odd. I'm not against bringing in good young players (we should be doing that) but RB is such a key area for us that any RB coming in needed to be first team ready.

    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

I honestly don't think we will properly see him till next season. He might get the odd few minutes depending on how secure our position is.

    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

that depends on the terms of the loan apparently (see Chelsea's recent attempts to claw back various loan players) I was happy to wait till the summer for him anyway tbh.

Couldn't agree more mate, I actually wanted us to look at Djed Spence (we have been linked to him previously) who is on loan at Forrest from Boro at the moment. He is big, quick, can run with the ball, but he gets stuck in with defending first and foremost so knows his role. I doubt he would...

    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

What we need is someone who can do both rather than one or the other.
  17. Simon Buttle

    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

Oh I tend to take all that stuff with a pinch of salt tbh, I just know he said something yesterday about being fit. I'm just a bit concerned we have not seen Patterson yet, that's all. I know we were linked with him and the other young lad Ramsey and I watched him vs Rangers the other week and...

I can only think so, but Bobble reckons he was fit.

    2021/22 Nathan Patterson

At the start of the season they had a points deduction, half a team, and a potential embargo on future transfers. Rooney has done a good job to assemble a squad that plays decent football with limited resources and in doing so has managed to claw back the points deduction and even look like they...
