We're closing in on signing an entire team of outfield players in 2022 - with probably more in the pipeline.
Patterson - Coady - Tarkowski - Mykalenko - Vinagre
Gueye - Onana - McNeal
Muapay - Dele
That's a pretty decent turnover for a team that couldn't spend any money due to FFP.
I think the owner, board and DofF know they would all be lynched if Gordon left now without replacements. It's not like he's going on strike either.
They'll also be able to sell him before June 30 next year to balance the FFP books if they need to.
As has been pointed out elsewhere, many of those shots were in the last 10 mins when we were losing and trying to rescue a point against a team that was holding on for a win.
Anyone who has watched our games will know that this stat doesn’t ring true.
It must also mean that we are still paying for signings from previous years though. This years budget is being impacted by a percentage of the purchase price for Allan, Doucoure, Mykalenko etc.
I’m no expert on the finances, but if it’s about an annual profit and loss, and it’s y/e on June 30th (the day we ‘had to’ sell Richy) why would we consider selling Gordon even if we needed the money.
In theory, we could get a year out of him. See him grow and improve (likely). Increase in...
Haven’t read back in the thread, but I’m sure it’s been mentioned that spending 50m on a guy we had agreed a deal on for 17m last year would be peak Moshiri era Everton.
