Before this thread goes to the archives, I just want to put on record that we had the best transfer window of any Premier League team and in young Lookman, we have an absolute steal. Guy will be an England regular within a few years and be worth £ms or you can all vault me
Ran through our midfield when we played them a few weeks ago.
Has a wallop of a shot on him but not better than anyone we've already got and that should be the aim of our transfer policy.
Not so strange when you read that Walsh wants to bring in 5 "outstanding" teenagers. Lookman was the start & I guess Holgate & Davies plus perhaps D C-L and it makes sense?
Read in the Times that Walsh has stated that he wants to sign "5 best teenagers to Everton" - whatever that means but I guess that Koeman is looking for immediate first teamers rather than potential but perhaps Lookman may change his mind a bit.
Only bit I found via BBC sports app was McCarthy to Sunderland for £10m & Lamine Kone in exchange.
You really cannot make this sort of stuff up.........
After yesterday, I would think City will get out their golden cheque book and start throwing millions around to any half decent CB like VVD.
It was oh so sweet but maybe disembowelling them wasn't too clever if we really want Virgil - a nice streaky 1-0 would have been the ticket.
Yeah but that's our current problem. Take out Rom & Coleman and there not a lot of goal scorers left. Gana can't hit a barn door from 3 paces and Ross & Kev aren't exactly lashing them in
One would assume so but I am not convinced that Ronnie is about Ross's ability. If we get a ball player (& note that Chelsea are sniffing around Payet so Fabregas may be surplus) , whither Ross?
