    2017/18 Wayne Rooney

It's not like him and Stretford have a lot of respect for contracts!

He is deffo going to want us to top up his wage, no question.

Taken in abstraction this is true. However, we don't know what we would have done with nearly £8m quid a year in wages had we not signed Rooney. If we hadn't signed Rooney after selling Lukaku then we clearly would have had to sign another forward (I know, I know Rooney isn't a forward now but...

Absolutely this ^^ Too many people on here hate him because of the "once a blue....." Man U debacle and won't take a balanced view Too many people on here love him because of a nostalgic attachment to the player he was and the "bring a blue home" nonsense peddled by Bill Breaking it down...

When was his last good performance, though? Months ago. Time has caught up to him and if the media reports of him wanting "assurances" about first team appearances then it is best for everyone for him to leave before this goes sour.

    2017/18 Wayne Rooney

I was thinking this just the other day. He's scored 9 goals less than last season in the league (albeit in 3 fewer games) whilst being surrounded by far better players. It's almost like if the whole team isn't built around him he doesn't do so well!

The lad's spent, get him packed off to the US or China. It's the only way we get shut of him.

    2017/18 Wayne Rooney

Played well yesterday (and against Leicester). That is his position and the fat man shouldn't consider playing Schneiderlin there now (he will though).

    2017/18 Wayne Rooney

Absolutely this ^, Rooney has no positional discipline at all and if he is picked as a lone forward, as he has been many times this season, and roams around then we are left with no outlet up front at all. This means that any ball knocked up field comes straight back and our defence is then put...

    2017/18 Wayne Rooney

Absolutely this, he doesn't hold his position at all. When we have played him up front, a position he was crying out to play when at United, he drifts all over the pitch leaving us with nobody up the pitch at all. We then all complain about how we can't get out of our own half, unbelievable...

Lol, so does Joey Barton, shall we drag him out of the bookies for a kick about?
