Agree with suitsblue, even when we are at full strength

4-5-1

Howard

Jagielka Yobo Lescott Baines

Pienaar Neville Cahill Gravesen Arteta

Johnson

Dont think moysey has the tactical Know how to make the 4-4-2 system work, but its down to him if he tries to make it work. I just think it might be an idea to get back to basics, i.e what works.

You could say the same about all of our summer signings. None have set the world on fire. To be honest, I could challenge you to name a single new signing at any club that is setting the world on fire thus far. It takes time to settle into a new club and a new way of playing. Give the guy a break.

Leighton Baines has done OK!

I agree though why we have to decide on the back of one or two matches whether someone is any good or not is beyond me. I'd like to see a couple of our existing players given a break too.

Its always strikers though isnt it? Generally even the best do the least work in a match, so they often look poor based on performances. A player like Yakubu can only be judged after a whole season by the number of goals he scores really.

1. Neville plays better at RB than in the midfield
2. we have stubbs, cars, pienaar, jags, osman,ARTETA (of course),Gravessen, that is enough to send Neville to RB without worrying about our midfield too much.

Don't get me wrong, i may not understand why Moyes is doing this and it is my opinion that hibbo should be out but if moyes has a good reason for it, i trust him.

Out of the mouths of babes and young Canadians, spot on CT jnr, for all those knocking Hibbo watch the match he saved us three times. That lad will never be the best in the world but he tries, after sunday snipe at Ossie, Nev, Wessels, Jags, AJ, the lazy Yak but not Hibbo in that game(y) (y)

Personaly i think Hibbert is a good player, but for me i would play Neville their because a) i think hes a better distrubtor of the ball b) i dont want him in midfeild.

But Hibbert isnt crap i mean the whole defence is cack at the moment, he was there yesterday clearing balls of the line. It seems what people want is a full back come winger, who has to be as good in attack as he is defence, thats cack a full backs job is to defend and Hibbert has proved he can do that in a team that has qualifed for a champions leauge place. Ok it seems wevbe an extreamly good forward thinking left back in Baines but im just waiting for the honeymoon period to be over and people saying hes great going forward but neglects his defensive duties.

Lets stop trying to find scapegoats - Johnson, Hibbert its the whole team of form, lacking confidence, trying to integrate new players, whith many players out injuries that are contributing to poor results.

Ill bring this thread back at Christmas when were all die hard Moyes lovers again.

Anyhow for me the deficencies that people are seeing in full backs i beleive is frustration in the fact that we genuinely fdont have any out and out wingers at the club. Micheal Kightley he says banging his drum.

Can you think of any good wingers youd like to see at the club suits! Preferably Norwegian!

Oh yes !!! Nothing I like more than a good thread bumping to let people know how skewed their thinking was.

If I recall, that action got me in a bit o trouble on the old TW forum a few years ago. Garry didn't seem to care for me doing it heh...

Looking forward to it.

Hear Hear.

Add to that our two centre backs who made mistakes for both of the villa goals

In Hibbo's defense, I saw several times today where he was given a ball under marginal pressure or heavy pressure. Each time he had no short option or no one was showing for him.

Rather than lose it in back, he hoofed up front (as all good defenders should do) so that if we lost it, it would be on the Villa side of the pitch, not ours.

I think he could do with a bit more support from the midfield.

good shout, i gave hibbert my motm yesterday, today kipper published their write up and they said the same although 'best of a bad bunch' was how they described him.

3 or 4 times he made decisive last ditch saving tackles, he kept the score dignified and should be lauded so.

Yeah, the last thing you want is Hibbert to have no options or have his options closed down so quickly that he thinks he should dribble his way out of it.

That's a receipe for disaster right there.

He can hoof it long all day for all I care. Just don't get caught in back with it.
