Agree in theory, but we need to make sure that if we're overpaying the players are genuinely going to make a difference.

I would be fairly confident that we could finish 7th with our current squad, so if we go out and spend another £80m or whatever, we really need to be finishing higher, otherwise it's pretty pointless and will affect our ability to spend again next year and push on.

Agree mate. Also think if we spent another £80m on top of what we've already spent, then we should be expecting a strong, strong top 4 challenge, and if we didn't finish top 4 then the gap should be far less than the 15 pts we finished behind the 4th placed team last season (the RS)

That should of been a lot closer. That bad spat of games we had cost us. Agreed we need to spend a fair bit more just wonder if this lad could be the key to unlocking the park the bus teams we struggled with last year.

Our away form was atrocious as well last season mate, don't think it will be that bad this season because Koeman will have it sorted.

I dont think you can expect a top four challenge with what is essentially an entirely new team, it takes eighteen months minimum for that sort of change to bed in

Agreed, Just couldn't unlock them just hoping and praying we get the balance right this season. Think we'll go a very long way in Europa just have that gut feeling. But 50 mil is a lot though.

As fans we are always harping on about what other teams spend (and taking the piss out of them big style) about how they should be doing better than they actually do.

Also, I can understand the likes of Sandro and Klassen need time to settle in, but the players with prem experience shouldn't need bedding in.

I'm not just talking about new language etc, you have to get to know how people play

I know what you're saying mate, but for me by the end of the first 10 games every player should be on the same page, also, in training they will be learning the systems, drills etc.

He scores goals and creates goals and that's what wins you games so the price doesn't matter as long as he can keep repeating the figures that he has shown for a piss poor Swansea side who will be relegated without him. Just wish we would hurry up and get him signed

Well we certainly didn't struggle at home. But away from home we just didn't pose a threat on many ocassions. However we only really had lukaku as a threat. Hopefully the movement and guile of siguardsson (should he come) sandro and Rooney should give us more of a threat, allied with Keane and Pickford at the back, I'm more optimistic we can keep clean sheets.
