I think we would all like that. Can't force it to happen though. Rom was never staying with us. He was one of the most prolific strikers since the inception of the PL and was always going to Man U / City / Chelsea. We got a good price 75m rising to 90m.
Barkley is another matter. His goal stats are poor for a player of his talent, but we can see there is s great player in there. Again though, we can't force him to sign.
If it's a choice between keeping the manager or Barkley, then Barkley will go. The owner believes in Koeman. That's just the way it is, unless you have a couple of hundred million to buy the club?

There's no top end player who we can realistically sign who won't have a mad fee.

I can't quite understand people. All this swerve him go sign Isco crap. It's just ridiculous.

We need realistic players, who want to join, who significantly improve us. They don't come cheap either. We either pay and get them and improve or we sit here smugly that we've not got involved in the madness of the window, but get left behind.
