£40m Bid Made For Sigurdsson

Sigurdsson isn't worth £50m to us, he's worth it to Swansea. Who can they possibly replace him with?
Regardless of that, this is too much to pay when others must be available. I like the money spending but this is a little excessive imo. I'm a big fan of the lad too.

We've already spent almost £100M of the Lukaku cash and we haven't even started to get the really pricey leader of the line we all know we must have to move on from RL.

It's crazy. Just crazy.
You saw how big the gap between us and the top 6 was last season. It's going to take more than 1 signing to bridge that gap. Also if we try and put all our eggs in one basket by trying to sign a big name striker and fail, where would that leave us?

It's obscene and not Everton, or at least wasn't Everton until this shower turned up.

The worst of it is that we cant even afford being mugged like this.

The sales of two jewels in the crown in one window is unheard of even at this club. It will never be repeated and the concern has to be the money is being frittered away...no matter what you think of the quality being brought in, this club are being taken to the cleaners and have overspent on them by about £35m so far.

I take massive offence at that cavalier approach to finite resources and Moshiri and Koeman will live or die by next season's results.
The man is a billionaire, I'd trust his view over your view anyday Dave, no offence meant either.

If we dont do well, he'll be wounded by sanctioning a raft of mediocre signings. And most will have done the calculations and realise that it hasn't been his cash that's been frittered away too.

why do you seem like you want them to fail? Do you get any enjoyment from supporting the club? this is the best transfer window I've witnessed since I started supporting everton and I can't find fault with it at all, or the players brought in... We haven't even touched our promised transfer kitty from last season yet...relax... Moshiri is not going to make us bankrupt and if you think these players don't improve us I don't know what else to say to you man

Mate, it wont be just this Dutchman who'll be judged next season if this doesn't click. The man in control has allowed our player sales cash to be spent in whatever manner the manager wants and if it goes arse up he is in the firing line for signing off on a series of over-priced signings.

Totally agree David.

I can imagine the plane going over now "MOSHIRI OUT, YOU SPENT 2 MUCH MONEY ON PLAYERS".

Never really watched him, but for 50 million, he better be bloody good

He is world class at set piece delivery, covers a lot of ground (without having any stats to show this hard work results in anything) and has a good injury record.

If you are looking for magic, creativity, clever passing etc you will be massively disappointed.

Mate you would take massive offence to somebody opening a bag of crisps wrong. Have a day off.

If you say anything logical to him he will just ignore it anyway. That's what he does.

He goes fishing everyday. It isn't about if we have done good or bad business, it is about how many people he can wind-up.

In one word: rubbish...

Doesn't have to be registered that way. IF it ends badly, most people will know if it goes wrong that two vital players of this club were sold to get a transfer war chest for us the like we've never seen before and he exercised zero control over its wasteful spending.

You know this is a rip off. Easily 3 of these signings have been a piss-take and allowed to happen because the manager couldn't give a flying one about the future of the club because he wont be around to pick up the pieces if we fall on our faces with them.

He BETTER get this up and running and bearing fruit nest season or the roof will fall in on him.

Just sayin....

He's a closet Kopite, don'tcha know...!

To make that gap up you have to do more than spend what comes in: you have to

A/ spend that money wisely but spend it all
B/ spend more on top, again wisely

We'll do neither.
