@davek please tell Goat that Sigurdsson simply Everton spending the Lukaku proceeds.

The net spend is clearly on the younger players and the players yet to come in (replacement striker and a winger).
Unless my maths is incorrect, our 'net spend' currently is hovering around 0... so how would buying Sigurdsson at this point not be coming out of Moshi's war chest?

...but which proceeds did we use to bring the others in with?

Can't see this one happening until Barkley is sold so then our net spend is sound.

EDIT: Just remembered suppose we could dip into our Chinese money.

Combination of increased TV revenues, and sponsorships. Plus small contribution of Lukaku fee. Lower than that to be outlaid on Iceman , Dave.

It's difficult to distinguish what goes from which pot to buy whom though mate. The order it happened in doesn't give much away imo.

What is clear however is 'Fake News' Goat is completely incorrect.

The net spend will be clearly seen after Sigurdsson's confirmed. Sometime very soon. On a striker and a winger plus another.

I'm still of the mind I want this to fall through. Personally I think we need a clever skillfully no 10 type who can run with the ball, thread balls through, and pull teams out of shape with their movement.

Siggy seems more of a set piece merchant. A rich man's Charlie Adam. We have young Wayne for that ;)
