Have to admit, I'm struggling to see why folk are annoyed by this.

It's not like he's gone full Sniderman and said:

I saw the original interview and didn't sound like he meant it as a dig at all, just a 'yeah we were turd so it's to be expected', kind of thing.

I'm no fan of Holgate, but as we have said for countless others who pull on the blue jersey, while he's here, I'll hope he does his best and always tries his hardest to do so.

I don't believe the fans booed Holgate directly.....think it was aimed at the decision by Dyche. We wanted to see the likes of O'Brien or Lindstrom have a debut rather than an unwanted player that is well past his best

Or alternatively point out that you don't like what he is saying. I don't think taking umbrage is unjustified, especially after such a crap showing.

You may be right, he didn't mean it as a dig, but why say "at this football club". I personally think he is a poor communicator with an awkward delivery, so it's not surprising people can read his words differently.

unfortunately being a bedwetter is the new hip thing in the Evertonian fanbase. Whomever can soil their sheets the most on a regular basis often gains the most clout, particularly on social media platforms and forums.

Its a sad state of affairs, I remember growing up, you was proud to say you went Goodison, good times or bad, as you knew our Red neighbours had never stepped foot in Anfield.

Now you have contributors on here proudly exclaim they dont / no longer go the game and actively encourage others to stay away.... and they get cheered for it!

Some of these punks wouldn't last a day in my gym.
