2024/25 Seamus Coleman

Get rid asap and we can finally move on from his ghastly captaincy and attention seeking antics. Sick of the sight (and sound) of him.

Coincidence that Everton and Ireland have both had their worst ever periods in their history while he was captain? I think not.

Mediocrity personified and propagated.

Goodbye and never come back.

Shame on you.
Everyone entitled to an opinion of course I just assume you don't actually go to the match and watch Seamus?

Each to their own. I just think it would be a touch of class to keep him here to do his badges and coach with the youth and when he gets a bit of experience he will go and find his own path.
Well we will. That’s a forgone conclusion- I’m just saying we need a change of mentality from this.

In fairness the last few years going the match you`d most likely see him sat in the stand or a dugout while out injured. We shouldn`t hold onto players so long that they become bit part players in the squad. Had he been replaced and moved on 3 or 4 years ago he`d be remembered a lot more for his contribution on the pitch. Lingering on for those extra years has shown he`s not quite up to PL level and when he leaves those years will be fresh in the memory of a lot of fans. A shame really as he has always given it his all for the club, and its really down to how we have been run the last couple of decades. Hibbert, Osman and Ferguson all finished their playing days with us and we probably held onto them a season or two more than we should have.

Wow, just wow.

Attention seeking?

Football is a team game, add in managers and boardrooms and I think Coleman may be over 100 in the reasons why we have been bad charts, if he is even listed at all.

Undoubtedly there has been a decline in Coleman's performance but equally the club has been (probably) the poorest premier league club over the last 4 or 5 years - ie average points/position of the clubs that have been in the league over that period.

My point being those slagging off Coleman on the Internet are so out of sync with those at the match. He's given us his best effort and he seems a top bloke as well. You can't blame him for accepting a contract!

Seasmus is nowhere close to being the reason the club has found itself in the position it has.
