Did the job we asked - kept us up, and afloat until new owners.

At the time of his appointment, the club was in a perilous position, sitting 19th in the Premier League table with just 15 points from 20 matches—the lowest tally at that stage in Everton’s history under the modern three-points-per-win system.

Had the worst working conditions any everton manager had ever faced. Points deductions, no budget.

And still kept us up twice
Weirdly, when under the least constraints struggled the most.

If this team gets relegated he will be hated long term for the position he put the team in. If it doesnt he will be well regarded. Ill wait to pronounce judgement once we see what another manager can do with the same squad...

Horrible job to come into, kept us up despite a lot of obstacles, absolutely respect that.

Massive drop off this season however and looked like it was only going one way, so it's a natural time to say bye.

Did well to turn around the Lampard death spiral and very well with the points deductions last year.

Underperformed this season but was also greatly undermined by those running the show. Understandable to get rid but also a huge gamble.

Respect for doing a very difficult job in difficult circumstances that few other managers could do. Many would have walked or crumbled.

Frustrating this season - perhaps he's reached the end of the road, perhaps we need a stroke of luck as confidence is rock bottom, perhaps we need a change.

However and whenever he leaves he'll go with my respect and gratitude.

Current football is turd in the eye sockets though.

Bit of both. Respect for the job he did last season and that he did what he was tasked with which was to keep us up before the new owners joined.

Respect was lost in terms of his personality and arrogance which we saw far too much of this season.

Total respect kept us up and last season with everything still kept us up but unfortunately his limitations as a manager has shown it's self this season. without doubt worked his socks off in trying circumstances and a lot of the circumstances we won't know about
