Rugby League at BMD

I own and have ran the Saints website/youtube chann ā€˜Redveeā€™ for the last 22 years as well as contributing to various media outlets.

Rugby League at BMD is huge - the test is the most likely to sell out and if it does then itā€™ll likely see the Magic Weekend come here - given itā€™s likely held the week after the footy season finishes it wouldnā€™t make a any odds that 6 games would be played on it as we dig the pitch up anyway and relay it every year.

Magic Weekend makes 9m a year for the local Newcastle economy and they love itā€¦. BMD with the fan plaza and relatively close proximity to the city centre means it will work in a way that Anfield couldnā€™t and failed.

RL doesnā€™t damage a Pitch. LFC paid for the same type of surface at Saints stadium as at BMDā€¦ itā€™s like a carpet and doesnā€™t suffer at all.

In terms of Grand Finals the most likely place for it to end up is the Etihad due to Manchester being in the middle of Lancashire/Yorkshire, but Magic is the bigger money spinner.

Iā€™ve bought tickets today, got my own ST seat and bought 11 othersā€¦ many wouldnā€™t bother going to the Ashes game despite being by fervent RL fans, but all want to visit BMD.
BMD with it's relatively close proximity to the city centre? What's this about.. going by the outcry after the test events I was beginning to think it was on Neptune with just 1 spaceship running every 7 days bringing people back to Liverpool with a capacity of 47 people.

They're absolutely flying out. Quite some demand for these, considering they're only on pre-sale and probably 75% of seats have gone. From what I can see anyway.
Real pre-sale was yesterday. Some of my mates are rugby league nerds (I live in Yorkshire) so they got early access and hooked me up with tickets yesterday. I'm in the East Stand Upper near the half way line. I don't really like rugby but I'm looking forward to it anyway!

It offered me tickets in the Trinity Bar were i am next season. Over Ā£300 a ticket that's Ā£3.000 for 10 games, I'm paying that for 19 so maybe I am getting a good deal. That's what I tell myself anyway.
Hi mate,
It's really unclear on the rugby ticketing page whether or not food and drinks will actually be 'honoured' as they are in Everton games, when I get to booking page it says it'll give access to a "private pay bar". I presume you'd still expect it'll be free food and drink?

My son said he has checked and it is a free bar and meal.
