The other player won't have much say in your 147, either. They won't be at the table during it. Only thing that might matter is something they did before you commenced on the 147 break.The other player rarely has any say in your 9 darter. He can't affect your board. The gymnastics snooker players have to perform to work difficult positions or tied up (ahem) balls is occasionally genius. We're in a high point of snooker talent (although aging maybe) yet the quickest century is still Drago from 30 years ago.
9 darters turn up more regular. There is no 'run of the arrows'. Get more flukes in snooker as well.

How many more legs of darts is that though compared to how many frames of snooker. They did something like this when the darts was on with pros and the 147 was done first before a 9 darter and a hole in one. Granted I think the hole one is the easiest.There have been 523 '9 Darters' in PDC (WDC) history since 1996.
Since 1982 there have been 208 maximum breaks in snooker.
9 darters are far more common although there are many more games of darts played.
In conclusion I think a 9 darter would be easier,
