2015 post UK election discussion

Labour spent the last week saying the Tories are about to privatise the NHS.

Take off the blinkers - both parties engaged in smears, in scaremongering and bullying. That has happened in every election since year dot.
Bullshit again Mrk, Tories lead a campaign a million miles into swear and scaremongering that Labour never did, some of the character assassination of Milliband was pathetic.

The Tories will privatise the NHS in the next 10 years, I dread to think what the NHS will be after 10 years of Tory rule, it's already on it's knees after 5 years of them.

You sound confident, don't let last night go to your head ;).

I don't think I need to post my concerns again on the issue, but there are undertones that are deeply worrying.

Cameron has been quite outspoken about the EU and that he would campaign for it, but as part of any negotiating strategy a position needs to be established.......

To be fair though, they do their own polling and don't just rely on MORI and the like.

If they were blind sided by the pollsters then more fool them.

Even those exit polls last night were wrong.....they were not pointing toward an overall Tory victory.
The Tories were shitting it lastnight and Labour were bouyant all down to the polls of the last 2 months, over 90 seperate polls had them neck and neck, what are you talking about?

Ofcourse they do their own polling, and the Tories thought there was a good chance they were goosed.

So were you worried that Labour would privatize the NHS then considering their track record.

Track record of what? Half advocating the private ownership of one hospital, that had cross party support? As opposed to privatising national infrastructure due to ideological whims?

By the way, another reason for avoiding Burnham like the plague that. He got unlucky with it but mud sticks.

Ed Milliband wanted to make islamaphobia a hate crime. Which is a slippery slope.

“We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart.” H L Mencken

I doubt that they'll reform the eu
You're right. Negative headlines in Le Monde and Der Spiegel greet Cameron's re-election.

I don't think he commands any respect in Europe, and rightly so as he has shown no leadership on the UK's behalf, acting purely in narrow party interests, and was tellingly left out of discussions between Merkel, Hollande and Putin.

They aren't going to give him anything.

If you think so. No to your previous post btw. That isn't my decision to make (and nor is it yours).

It IS privatisation. There's no 'ifs or buts' about it. Profit is being made where there was none before.

Never said it was my decision. Ok - how about you ban yorself from ANY future political discussion on the forums?

Well yeah I can insult an ideology all I like.

Don't bother squealing when someone *AHEM* insults you or your idealogies then.

Fear of something isn't a crime - it's throwing bricks at the heads of what you fear that would be.

Saying a phobia can be a crime is like saying you'll be locked up for 5 years if you screamed when you saw a spider FFS.

Labour privatized the nhs by 4/5%
Conservatives 1/2%

I never said I wanted to insult people. An ideology though, can be insulted. That's what freedom of speech is.
