2018 College (NCAA) Football Thread

If I wasn't American and didn't have geographic rooting ties I would most likely gravitate to a relatively minnow school who challenge the big boys regularly. Boise State has been a secondary rooting interest for a long time now. UCF is another one. There are a few smaller schools that have upset the apple cart a couple of times.

Plenty of “small schools” in big conferences too

Normally I wouldn't but McDonnell has 40 national championships, so I'm ok on that one

*upon further research, it appears that McDonnell has won 40 of the schools 44 national championships in all athletic competitions...

Ok, what McDonnell has done in leading those programs is amazing.

My Cowboys and I will slink off with our 3 national championships....though Kenny Sailor and basketball was pretty amazing in '43.

That's approximately 3 championships more than my alma mater has, so I'm not hating on small schools, I just like Coach McDonnell quite a bit
