My daughter goes to Troy, she's giddy. Of course she doesn't understand the whole playing a walk-ok QB due to injury etc

Can someone tell me why the RPOs and play actions are used a lot more in college football? Is it to do with the rules or just a less complex system for less experienced players?

Edit: Or maybe not, just looks that way to the untrained eye like me.

Two reasons: simpler offenses easier for college players to execute and NFL athletes are physically superior and can chew up exposed players

defenses are slower, hashmarks are more spread out, NFL defenders will murder your QB. Also there are about 33% more plays in a CFB game, defenses get worn out.

Yep, also @Azzurri yoi should check out the old school Nebraska option with Eric Crouch that won the championship if you can find videos online.
