There are a few ifs and buts for me. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester, West Ham, Villa and maybe one or two more could have good or par seasons, but they are also prone to throwing in a poor season and have difficulties of their own to contend with to varying degrees. I don’t think we will be far off those teams anyway and if some of them falter Everton could surprise a few. I do think Everton will be more consistent this season but whether that is good consistent or bad time will tell

1) Poor squad after spending £300m
2) Poor transfer window due to FFP ( tells you how bad the spending over previous years has been.
3) Manager who used to manage the scum and has done nothing in the last 5 years.
4) split fan base due to the incomprehensible appointment of said manager

all the ingredients for a long, painful and humiliating season

We are in desperate desperate trouble, a squad that doesn't have one redeemable quality about it, a manager who is two defeats on the trot away from starting an all out civil war and an owner who really doesn't seem to have any iota about how to run a football club. It all lines up to be a terrible season and I just hope that this time next year we are still a PL club

Wild prediction: we'll have an early Moyes era-esque season where we have no expectation and actually do alright. I reckon we'll be tighter defensively which means we might not lose so much at home, and maybe we can still grab a few hard-earned unpredicted results on the road. I'd say an optimistic guess would be that we finish 8th.

With what's happened during the summer, us still having so many players we dont want, plus getting 3 players that were suppose to be back ups that will no doubt be starting most weeks [2 of them], while not actually getting anyone that was for the "1st Team". I think we will do well to get top 10, so i will say 10th
