I'm going to be in Liverpool during the September match against Palace. I may just be able to make it to Goodison for the first time!!

They rarely take the full allocation but yes I think we can rely on Sky/PL to schedule the kick off so as to make it as difficult as possible for Soton fans to get here. Which is good for Blues

Last two years they've only taken the bottom tier but I think last away game and if they're desperately battling to stay up they would request the full allocation.

If they're mid table or already relegated then will probably just take the 1.5k.

We take a 5 y/o on occasion. I would say the atmosphere will be louder in the timeframe you mention as they will be the last few games played at Goodison, so would suggest ear defenders.

Only other thing is where you intend to sit I would avoid the Lower Gwlady that would be too loud for the little one.

Thanks, He’s done some other big/loud games/events so he knows the drill. I’d never attempt it but somehow the wife has decided it’s a great idea to get him to a match before the move and it’s hard to pass up a trip with her full endorsement (we’ve been to matches but never with the kids).

The game that fits perfectly for my trip is against Villa in January. What are the best/secure websites to buy tickets in England for this match?

To say I'm excited is an understatement but I won't lie, the process feels daunting to not only secure tickets but hope that the game doesn't get moved to another date last second and then I'm up the creek without a paddle. What are the chances of a mid-week game at night being shifted to a different date?

You would need to check if Villa are in champions league that week once their fixtures are out but normally that time is free of European ties.
