2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

The whole season has been poor management which is why i am relieved that the RS cannot put us in the relegation zone and TFG will definitely get rid of the clown not long after they are in.
I'd keep him around until after City... then sack him upon the full time whistle.

Think Wolves may be a touch overrated. Think the job Oneil did was given far to much credit for what he did with what he has. And maybe they could be in a little more trouble than some may think.
I stick to this what i said during the Wolves v Chelsea match on 25th August
Wolves last 24 league games are won 3,drew 5 and lost 16

If anyone is wondering our record in the last 24 games is won 8, drew 7, lost 9

If by the end of this month we are still out the relegation zone I will see that as a small win. Personally think our fate will rest on the 3 home games against Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich next year.
With the Friedkin bounce, probably new manager bounce and hopefully an addition or two in January I’d expect the second half of the season to be better than the first. So while December is going to be tough imo if we are not in the relegation zone after 19 games we should be very hopeful of being fine.

Not gona lie i feared they would do us last night. They've scored as many as those in the top half of the table. But seeing as we dont score i thought their goals against wouldnt matter much. Ive been impressed with how they've played in games. You sort of see what Oneil is trying long term. But he wont last. Losing 4-0 to a sean dyche team is a sackable offence on its own.

They were rubbish and are conceding far too many so absolutely they're in trouble. Don't understand why people are so dismissive of them though, as though we're guaranteed to finish above them after 1 win, after a string of hapless, pathetic showings.

Their forward players will win then games this season, just as their defence lost it last night.

I do wonder what Fulham were doing getting beat 4-1 at home by Wolves.

One of them days and Wolves took their chances.

For eg...Pickford had to make 2 big saves and they got in behind us too easily for my liking last night. Luckily they didn't score.

Wolves have some killers upfront and can score goals. It's the lack of physicality in midfield and defence with the kamikaze "play out from the back" style that's hurting them.

In my view, if O'Neil just swallowed his pride, went back to basics and more direct, they'd get some wins and confidence to then play how they want

Perversely I think we’ll do better than expected because the pressure will be off. They’ll play against us rather than park the bus and I think that’ll lead to us getting a few goals in and pick up a few points. Yes points plural. Vault me if you wish.

I had us to win 2-1. But the way we began with wolves been a lot brigher, even that chance they had after about 90seconds could/should have been a goal if pull back was a bit better, had me thinking was it going to be one of those games again. But after that little early spell for Wolves. We did so much better and never looked back really
