2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

A now confident team wont be scared of any of them, least I know I'm not.

Like I said a couple of posts above mate, we're just 1 more injury away from having to use Young, Harrison, Keane again and the quality drops off alarmingly and then there's nothing on the bench currently to turn a game in our favour if needed.

Missed DCL and Mangala yesterday and beat a rival in second gear.

Basically to stay up now all is needed is to beat Ipswich and Southampton at home and draw another three games. That gets team to 35 points which would've been enough to stay up in 22/23 and might not even need that many points to stay up given the Ipswich result.

It would be slightly different if Ipswich and Wolves were both on 19 points as then they'd still have been within range but only one team is.

The only danger of relegation now is losing next four, then not beating West Ham at home, then losing at Wolves, then losing every single game in April.....and you've still got Ipswich and Southampton at home to win and finish off the season.

It could've certainly happened under Dyche but not happening under Moyes even if the team isn't going to keep winning obviously.

Oh yes mate don't get me wrong, I think even without signings we'd probably get the 2-3 wins needed.

But my opinion is more about not wanting the stress of taking it down to the last few games. I'd like the mere thought of relegation banished before the start of April and I'd feel a whole lot better with 2-3 players through the door by midnight tomorrow

It would be nice for Evertonians to be able to enjoy the last few home games at Goodison without stress!

I think Ipswich with a win will be the one that will confirm things mathematically as will probably lose a few in April so gap will be closed a bit. So Southampton becomes a party for the farewell afternoon to Goodison.

We'll be well out of trouble by mid March, we are currently 9 points clear with vastly better GD That's 3 wins and a draw for us to be caught, I can't see them getting (10 points) 3 wins and a draw more than us over the remainder of the season.
