2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Still a little concerned it's asking a lot of the squad to maintain a run of form which such a terrible run of injuries. But it's asking more of the sides below us to make up what is a significant points gap.

Given Wolves should be ok it would only take one of Ipswich / Leicester to win two and us to lose two and we feel threatened again. We do need to keep the points total ticking over between now and the end of March in particular. If we didn't have players out to this extent it wouldn't be an issue at all.

They should have done a little more in the market when they could have despite the difficulties.

I think it already is to be honest. You're looking at both Wolves and Leicester needing to win the same number of games in their last 14 games that they managed in their first 23/24 games just to catch where we are now. After this weekend, only 13 games remaining... The number of games available to pick up points will disappear quickly.

Now I think we are comfortable anyhow, but if we can maintain/extend the gap until the number of games equals the points difference, then I can chalk it off as done. Teams at the bottom struggle to gain a point a game. Even if you say they have a complete turn around and pick up 1.3 for the last 10 games, we'd still only need 3 points in that same time.

I would have liked a couple more player to come in and strengthen the squad for the run in, but I`m just as happy that we have n`t signed someone, even if on a short term deal, that does n`t bring anything to the squad and becomes a bit of a dead weight.

Agree but also i look at the injuries as a chance for players to claim a place in the team like an obrien, is a big chance for players like lindstrom harrison alcaraz beto tim ect. Just hope now is a better feeling at the club and we can just keep pushing on

This is the view of Moyes: there's no point buying for the sake of it; it's better to wait and buy the right players, at the right price, in the summer.

There is no way arsenal is winning the title...with all their injuries up front they are looking less likely to score than an injury ravaged Everton dyche squad...very poor. Sterling could be about worse than our own Harrison which is telling...
