For me is just trying to see if we csn get above spurs united and west ham,

We're performing, quite comfortably i might add, more like a mid table side now. Time will tell i suppose if thats more to do with Moyes or Dyche. Its a bit of both for me. Christ look at the side now with Jake Obrien performing at fullback and Dyche persisted with Ashley Young. I'll be gobsmacked if he gets another job ever outside of the Championship.
Just think on how pissed Evertonians would have been to see Obrien being forced out by Dyche and go to another club and start performing.

33 points with 10 to play... Including West ham, Ipswich and Southampton at home. Surely can get 5 points from those. The other 7 are tricky so thank God for that recent unbeaten run

Oh happy days!

Think 45 points is a realistic target now and that could be enough to finish above one of Man. United/Spurs which will be amusing considering the expectations in August for the three teams.

I wouldn't write off the games v Arsenal and Man. City either, get the first goal against those and we see neither have the attacking capabilities currently to turn things round. Dyche also got draws away to both weeks before getting the sack.

Very possible to go unbeaten at Goodison for it's last hurrah now.

I personally dont get the way some say about its the worst thing that the same 3 are going down each season etc, when and if it does, and it makes the league seem rubbish. Thats not our problem, its the teams coming up to figure out how to do better. They spend a fortune - way more than some of the prem teams do. Nothing needs to change in the league format the way some have came up with the little things for me. Just imagine if we were as bad in future & had gone down due to any new format some have came up with, there would have been loads moaning why did it change etc.

I had to check who we even played that day as totally could not remember  (It was a Spurs 4-0 win)

With like10 games to go. Everton have somehow lost same amount as Man City. Only lost 4 at home - only top 7 have lost less. While away we have only lost 5, again only top 7 bar Forest have lost less. Only top 3 + Palace & Bournemouth have conceded less than us this season. Our problem is as always not scoring enough, winning enough and holding on to leads

Marius is spot on.

If you are a winger who doesn't want to play as an auxiliary full back why would you sign to play for Dyche?
Dyche was already out...before he officially signed for Ipswich. So there must be something else? As other suggested maybe he is getting a better package there vs here.

I think a bit too much is made of how hard it is for promoted teams to stay up like it’s a systematic failure. It gets ignored that in 22/23 all three promoted sides stayed up which is more remarkable than all three going down last season and likely this.

It’s just obviously hard to stay up when you enter the toughest league in the world, as it should be. It’s a mindset issue as much as an economic one, it’s hard to switch from being one of the best in a league to one of the worst and it’s a big dilemma whether you stick to your guns in style and hope for momentum to carry you on or whether you massively switch up a style and side that got you promoted.

Teams have got it right in the past and in the last couple of years teams have got it wrong, it is what it is.

Yep Spurs 4-0. Genuinely one of the most gutless displays ive ever seen from an Everton team. Rolled over and made that Aussie manager look world class. If only we knew then that was going to be the norm for the rest of the season we could have ditched him sooner.
We deserved that paddy power piss take.
