2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

No, but I wouldnt be shocked, Big Red are stinging, Forest are flying, City are a bit tosh, but you know, its City, Chelsea are dog, mostly, sometimes decent.

So no.

I think we win at least one of the City or Arsenal games, think we draw at Forest, and possibly Chelsea too. I’m going with 6 points in April.

Leicester’s form is hilarious

You think we are going to get 0 points in April?

I don't think I've ever known us to go into a run of games like this and come out with nothing. Especially during Moyes time at the club. I don't think we will do too well though given that there's nothing left to play for. I would expect 4 points returned from the 5 games

The only teams that should give us any concern in the final games are the [Poor language removed] and Forest….the others are very ordinary this year and Newcastles season just finished today.
So a draw at The Pit and versus Forest and the rest wins. Happy days.

For me the [Poor language removed] were lucky winners of the title and not exactly convincing champions. I think we can beat the [Poor language removed]. If only Arsenal were closer to them then we could have stopped the [Poor language removed] from having any trophies at all.

For those of you keeping score, the magic number is now 10. Any combination of points won by us or dropped by Ipswich and Leicester equalling 10 and we're PL members in 25-26.
"Better get me transistor radio and ceefax ready"
"But darling you have the internet and ceefax doesn't exist anymore"
"Dammit I said what I said!" ("Oster on the left or the right? Maybe Madar starts with Danny...")
"Who are Oster and Madar?"
"People who really shouldn't have won the sperm race. Night dear..."

To be fair when we’re talking about the gap between the championship and the PL I think it’s important to note that loads of the teams who’ve come up in the last couple of years have lost key players after getting promoted and so are actually starting with a worse squad than got them up.

Ndiaye at Sheffield united and tella at Burnley were probably the main reason those sides came up and then they didn’t have them once they got here. Leicester lost their manager and dewsbury hall aswell as Casadei who’d been key in the first half of last season. Southampton lost adams and brooks, and bazunu to injury.

It’s hard enough trying to make the jump as it is but if your squad is actually dropping in quality you’ve got no chance.

James Trafford already agreed a move to Newcastle by sounds of it. He's bulked up a bit and looks far more confident now than when he was in the prem. Burnley need an experienced number one this time rather than another Muric type.
