2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Agreed, football in general is of a low standard, compare the squads of the last world cup to those in 98 or a few others

It is all far too samey. Teams trying to replicate peak Man.City from 2022 and failing miserably. Was bored to tears watching Chelsea-Spurs on Thursday and went out this afternoon so missed the Manchester derby and seems that was even worse.

As much as I dislike them as much as everyone else on here I begrudgingly admit I'd rather watch Klopp's lot at their peak in a neutral match than what Guardiola comes up with as it is too robotic for my liking. Give me lots of full back attacks and crosses and quick passes up for a Salah type to run onto rather than just passing for passing sake. Not much different to Ferguson's great Man. United sides.

It's a shame it all went wrong for Marco here in the end as Fulham are a great example of team that plays out from the back but also mixes it up with the full backs getting to the byline and getting crosses in for a targetman striker. They've still got a chance of finishing in a european spot.

We're gona be a pub quiz question in years to come....

Question 23.
In 2025 Southampton were officialy the worst team ever. However they managed to beat a team twice. Who were that team?

Cheers Sean.
And if the answer they have is Everton I will be quickly up to the quizmaster to explain that the Carabao Cup game technically ended in a draw.

we was therye only victory in 23 games 🤢

Bitter taste that for sure, but one game doesn't make someone a good manager. As bad this team is Martin got 5 in 16, Juric 4 in 14, that's terrible from both managers.

Because would anyone say Dyche is a better manager than Kompany in general, just because we won all 3 duels last season with 6:0 goals in total?
