2024/25 Relegation Thread

We have lost 1 game in 8. I honestly think all apart from Arsenal away we can get something from, as long as we keep Brainthwaite fit.
We are certainly set up for draws, I can see us getting a few there. Good teams? Set up for draws. Bad teams? Set up for draws. Thats why we looked so bad trying to win against 10 man Brentford. We are training and set up for only 1 thing, the other team having lots of possession, and us keeping a clean sheet, or somehow nicking a goal on the counter or a corner for a draw.

I'm not sure it was that good. He also had some plumb fixtures they messed up.

He came in for West Ham away and they drew 1-1. Then won v all of Southampton, Wolves and Watford. Then just one point from last four but three of those were Villa and Spurs away and then Newcastle at home who ended that season in amazing form.

What relegated Burnley was how terrible they were for the first 20 or so games, Didn't win any of their first 9 and overall it was just one win in first 21 games!!!

They then picked up a bit but Dyche was sacked losing five of his last six (only points gained was in that 3-2 win at Turf Moor).

He was sacked with them on 24 points from 30 games so I'm afraid the same will happen here if he's allowed too much time. It's scary looking at their season how similar it is to this one, hardly any wins and a string of draws to stop him getting sacked at various points in the season. He was also backed in that January signing Max Cornet and Wout Weghorst.

Leicester at least trying to save themselves, and with the right appointment they might just do it. We on the other hand continue to sleepwalk into the championship. I really fear for us this season. The stars are aligning

Leicester are run by a functioning board. We are run on fumes...and fuzzy thoughts about the future.

The same board that kept Rodgers whilst he sent them down, have a PS&R charge waiting for them if they go down, hired Dean Smith when Rodgers was eventually fired, then hired their local rivals manager only to fire him 12 games in when not even in the relegation zone?

They’re as scattergun as anyone else in the bottom half

I actually think Cooper is alright for a bottom half scrap, I think he was keeping them competetive in games, there’s not a lot of good players there, make the wrong appointment and they could plummet. I actually don’t mind that firing.
