2024/25 Relegation Thread

Are Ipswich now this season's side that are absolutely terrible (and below us) but somehow get bigged up as being comfortably better than us and more likely to stay up? We beat them 2-0 at their ground too.

There are clearly 5 teams in the relegation battle. Wolves may get out of it but we hammered them 4-0 recently so another one that aren't likely to breeze to safety.
Nobody thinks Ipswich are "comfortably better" than us. What they do have, though, is a puncher's chance because they will, at least, have a go. The fact that we are the likely fall guys if they land some of their punches is an absolute disgrace. Because we won't have a go. We'll clinch, hang on to the ropes, and hope to be saved by the bell. People aren't worried about Ipswich. They are worried about us. We won't go down swinging. We'll simply topple over the ropes and land face down on Donald Trump's lap.

We're far more likely to stay up than Ipswich - but should we even be in this conversation? We got 48 points last season. The fall off has been shocking. We need a new manager - and some new players in January.

Omari Hutchinson misses Fulham game through illness, that's good news at least.

Think Fulham edge this 2-1 with probably yet another Iwobi goal.
I think Ipswich get something… these are the games where a point on the road against a middle-table team keep you up.

Fulham will turn up expecting 3-Points. Certainly wouldn’t be shocked if it was the other way round.

They're playing five at the back apparently so probably similar to Southampton, dig out a 0-0 at Craven Cottage.

0-0 in context, are perfectly acceptable results - this would be one.

Would have them unbeaten in two, a point behind, ahead of a decent home game vs Brighton.

With that being said, Fulham will win 3-0 now! 🤣

I see McKenna is sticking to his decision to drop Muric. That's why they've got a fighting chance imo. He's not afraid to make the big decisions which could help his team, unlike a certain someone...

Did anybody watch that game yesterday by the way and still think “our squad is mid table, we shouldn’t be below the likes of Bournemouth” - these squads are light years ahead of our crap now.

It shouldn’t take us playing them to see that contrast. This group of players is perfectly capable of going down. We need a new manager with new ideas but we NEED 3/4 players urgently.
