2024/25 Relegation Thread

I disagree. Coming into any job and playing two games in your first week is always going to be challenging. What I would expect to see after Wednesday is a marked increase in performance because that level was unacceptable. If we perform like that again then I'd be seriously worried that the players here are taking us down.
The players here have been taking us down for years. We knew that. But if the new manager cannot get a big improvement out of them tomorrow, then it begs the question why we chose him to replace the failing Dyche.

I they do Leicester will stay up.

He'll make them defensively more solid and they have a player or two that can snap up a chance.

Dyche is going to Leicester in a couple of weeks max. So we're left hoping that yesterday's man Moyes has us 5th from bottom and with breathing space in this relegation fight when he does just to give us a chance.

Their defenders and goalkeeper are significantly worse than ours. No manager is going to be able to go in there and get their way to safety with clean sheets.

Obviously no one knows, but I personally don't see Dyche going there and would extremely surprised if he does. It doesn't feel like the type of manager they would go for at all.

And that team would need at least 1 new centre half signing this window for a Dyche type manager to have a chance.

3 points above Leicester with 2 games in hand.

1 point above Ipswich with 1 game in hand.

1 point above Wolves with 1 game in hand.

Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton all still to come to Goodison.

If we can't equal 2 of those 3 for the rest of the season, we deserve to go down.

Sign some players with pace who can help progress the ball from defence to attack and we'll be sound.
Agree with all this.

And we currently hold the goal difference advantage as well.

It's very much in our hands but we need to go and do the job - hopefully it starts tomorrow.

Well Leicester fans seem as enthused as Dave at the prospect of Dyche turning up.

I'm telling you right now: if we get beat tomorrow the wheels will start to buckle on this club.

There'll be panic because most will think that's our fate: to be wedded to Moyes and we dont have the chance to twist again on a manager.

Well that better not be the attitude of the Texans.. They have to be ready to pull the trigger on Moyes and shift to someone else. And they better be shortlisting managers even now ready to go.

They've got how much tied up in Everton? If it were me I'd have two more games in mind and if we're in the relegation zone I'd get shut of Moyes and go again.

I wouldn't;t care what it looked like...then again, I wouldn't have been the clueless gets these Texans are in the first place to have hired the washed up Moyes.

Why are you talking about a new manager after the current manager has been in position for 1 football match.

What happened to supporting all Everton managers
