2024/25 Relegation Thread

After losing to Villa who finished in the top four Last season I was thinking what
Is our away record against teams finishing in the top 4 the previous season
Since prem lge started not good reading we have only won 4 away games
One crumb of comfort two of them wins are against pool the other two wins being
Against UTD & Blackburn PLYD 125 WON 4 DRAWN 41 LOST 80

I see Wrexham are top of League 1
I had a dream a few months ago that the opening league game at BMD was v Wrexham
Sounds like some type of computer game match coming to real life

Palace's fixtures are pretty ugly up until the Wolves game which will be very interesting. If they lose to us a week on Saturday then their arses will be twitching.

…I always think 10 games is a decent benchmark to start predicting where teams will ultimately finish.
Yep. I'm confident we'll have at least 10 points by then as well, even despite our abysmal start after the first 4 league games. Wolves, Leicester, Palace, Ipswich and Southampton will still be right down there by the end of October, I think. We just need to get 4 points at least from the next 2 games and then pluck a couple of wins from the likes of Newcastle h, Southampton a and Brentford h.

4 wins from 125 is awful. To think I probably watched nearly all of them as well.

Note to self, don't watch Everton away against teams who finished in the top 4
