I’m curious to know what anyone would have to gain by pretending he’s 16?

It’s not as if he’s a 25 year old trying to get a football scholarship.

The average darts player is probably about 45.

Yea.. imagine someone in HR thinking we've got to find a guy who never made it in darts but can regularly average 100+ and then we have to pretend he's 16...
The hardest part of that whole plan wouldn't actually be convincing people he's 16 but finding a player of that standard who's flown under the radar and not qualified previously.
