I think the banter to which you refer is more to do with the arrogance of feeling superion to everyone else , it is just so delightful to see someone being taken down a peg. It happens everytime with British teams or individuals. It is all English this and English that, then when the scots, welsh or Northern Irish stumble, they are referred to as scots, welsh or northern Irish. Hwever if they do well and win sometning they are transformed into The Great Britons....it does stick a bit. IE Andy Murray aka that dour scot, but now he is the only home country player in the men's singles he suddenly becomes a Great Briton.

This is the stuff yourself, from Ireland, has been saying.

I'm not even going to look in to the England Algeria thread to highlight the goading you were gleefully typing in there.

For the record if Ireland ever made the World Cup I'd never type some of the hate I've been reading by some of the England haters since this tournament began.

It's a shame we could not just all come together united as Evertonians and enjoy the greatest festival of football on earth.

Now England are out, you have all this agression you wish to take out on me and the Irish. It's ok though, i forgive you. I know you're hurting pal.
