That's sound mate, no problem with that and supporters feeling that way, I understand it to a degree.

What I don't get is the hate and vitriol from most of those same suppoeters, against those of us who wanted to shine a light on what we have become as a club.

Just weird to increase the volume and direct it at protesters, if they were just supporting the lads on the pitch - they will be back to not chanting, not singing, moaning and booing if results don't go our way again in future, wondering why nothing ever changes.

Like I said earlier, I'm a big boy, if it takes me and a few others getting up out of our seats early to wake these people up and get any kind of reaction from them that definitely isn't there every week, which theb positively helps the team, then I'll kee doing it.

Agree mate - no need for fans abusing one another.

Clap clap clap Bill is the greatest Evertonian in the world clap clap thank you for the stadium Farhad clap clap

You wanna see the flack I get in the Benitez thread! lol

There is a lot of anger about the place at the moment - best not to read too much into it all.

Ive seen it in the Benitez thread mate, (might have give you a bit meself in the past, so I apologise!).

We all just want Everton to do better at the end of the day, don't we.

I’m all for protest. The way this club has been mismanaged over the last 30+ years is incompetent, negligence & unacceptable.

The 27 years thing, not for me. It’s entitled millennial cryarseing. It’s embarrassing.

Some perspective :

West Ham 41 years
Newcastle 66 years
Leeds 29 years
Southampton 45 years
Aston Villa 25 years
Spurs 13 years (Mickey Mouse cup) last won the league in 1961 & the cup in 1991

Yes, we need the club run properly to put us in position to compete for trophies. They’re not handed out to everyone like an infant school sports day.

this isn’t all about a trophy . But I’m not apologising for wanting to see another one before I die . 20/5/95 was the best day of my life . I want other generations to have that feeling . I couldn’t care less about any other club.

I've got huge issues with how this shower of a board have managed the last few years. Generally shambolic. Likewise Kenwright made sacks of mistakes.

But the idea of the protest last night was embarrassing, self-indulgent and completely misguided.

What was it 1% if that? Fans are in the ground to support the team. If we'd lost last night, going into Palace then Chelsea away and we're looking at a very dodgy Christmas period.

Goodison was its usual timid, quiet, nervous self with the quiet fans not really doing anything of note - right up until the 27th min when they became ultras for 40 seconds.

The narrative that they were supporting the team needs putting to bed, they were categorically not - the vast majority were targeting the protesters.

This act will be taken as an endorsement of Moshiri and the board, regardless of what some are saying - it can't be spun any other way.
Agreed. The PE was silent up until that point. We stayed for the corner and then walked down, as we did, we were met with loads suddenly singing. Then silence again.

It's a tough situation this, I see why fans want change and therefore want to protest. I also see fans who want better, but don't want to protest. But it does worry me that some fans really don't see any issues.

The problem is, there's many factors in play:

Injuries
Without injuries, I believe we'd be around 7th now. People forget that we played some half decent football at times, during the start of the season. Without the injuries, this may not have bubbled up.

Progression on the pitch
Fans are frustrated that we can see the obvious changes that are needed, yet we cannot spend. Add in to that the likes of West Ham performing, it frustrates fans.

Manager
Add in a manager the majority didn't want and there's trouble.

Communication
This is the one that is frustrating many the most IMO. It feels like there's a huge disconnect within the club. We hear bits from media and not from the club. We have the same players who are frustrating on the pitch, doing rallying cries off it. We were called the peoples club, I couldn't feel any further from this club currently. It's a mess behind the scenes and too often on the pitch.

Last night was great (in the second half) Night games at Goodison usually are. Plus we smelled blood and knew we could have them. My worry is when we play the likes of Burnley/Newcastle etc. Will our players and fans be up for it? One win doesn't suddenly make everything ok. One loss doesn't make everything a disaster. But surely we can all agree things need to improve long term on and off the pitch? The question is, how do we achieve this....together.
