Moshiri will sell a stake/the club when he's ready/found the right buyer with the dough.

No amount of protests or teeth gnashing will hurry that process along neither will it make Kenwright leave who's taken on much more daunting protests than a peaceful sit in.

I think at this stage its largely pointless when it appears the owner is looking at moving on - if Moshers/Kenwright were still attending the games I could understand the idea but Farhad hasn't been seen in months at GP and I've not seen Bully K as often either.

I understand some want to voice their displeasure but I think it could also split the fanbase even further particularly if we get 3 points that game and at the final whistle it all descends into arguments of happy clapper, kopite behaviour etc.
If we got 3 points and STILL stuck around to protest that's an even bigger message.

It's the exact reason why Chelsea last season was a massive missed opportunity. Protests evolve, they grow if things don't change.

It's not the protest though, it's the message.

They're still pleading for Moshiri to hire more professional people to run the club - when HE is the biggest source of instablity.

The reason so many don't want to protest is because of things like this.

Scroll forward to 36 mins and a caller called Bill comes on, it's a laugh and a joke until Bill is critical of the board and then the host basically goes on a 3-minute monologue about how wonderful Bill is and it's everyone's fault BUT Bills.

@4737carlin You got a job manning the phone-in now mate? lol (BTW, if anybody knows that hosts name, please let me know. I'd like to make a complaint about his handling of the call. I'll go full Karen)

Not every match going fan uses forums/Twitter. They get their Everton fix from the Echo, local radio, and the programme. It's a long slog but they need education on why the groups feel the need to protest.
I heard about that actually, seen a post about it on Twitter haha your up against the illuminati !!

That aside this this protest even I think is a good idea, the timing is well thought out, but they have too emphasis the point of doing nothing during the actual game, because if anyone does anything then it will just get jumped on and highlighted to discredit the whole thing

Are they, if they are they are clueless, since Moshiri wont in anyway want to engage with them

This bit is crucial. You'd hope everybody is on the same page and supports the team throughout. (it should be obvious, but....)

The issue with that mate is our fanbase are very kneejerk - one defeat and everyone's depressed then an away point away from home and fans are singing spirit of the blues.

If we get battered you may see decent numbers staying behind if we're still around 16th/17th in the table... but an upturn in form and a win against Villa I'll be suprised if you saw more than 200-300 fans stay behind tbh.

I think all the evidence points towards Moshiri looking to bring in outside investment - the Peter Kenyon cowboys who were in talks have gone on to since buy some club in Greece iirc so that seems like there were legit talks going in with the club - you then have images floating around of Moshiri and Usmanovs nephew pictured with Qatari Shiekhs and PSG's owner who are buying stakes in clubs around europe.

I would personally be suprised if come the seasons end that Moshiri hasn't sold at least a stake in the club to someone so for me its a case of wait and see. Protesting isn't going to hurry that process along.

I still think empty seats is the only form of protest that will work. The issue is the super bloos though who would derail such a protest, they make up the vast majority of our fanbase and people that want to actually be proactive and make a change are the tiny, tiny minority.

I think his point is the protests should be directed at Moshiri. I agree.
Right, but nothing will 'force' Moshiri to sell. Protests won't impact him and his 800m investment in any way.

Kenwright and his fragile ego will be absolutely crushed that his adoring crowd have turned on him.

The whole board room being replaced with competent individuals under Moshiri beats this lot under Moshiri every single time.

Nipping out for dinner. Will get back to this later.

Well you could say exactly the same about Newcastle’s protests couldn’t you. And United fans with the Glazers, Blackpool with the Oystons, Portsmouth, Blackburn etc etc. What’s the point in protesting against them because they’re the owners and they’ll just sell when they want anyway?

Moshiri is not going to replace the board. He hasn’t done it in 7 years, why would he now? Moshiri is the problem, people that can’t see this and think any day now he’s just going to wake up and randomly make wholesale changes at board level are just absolute idiots in my personal opinion.

I dont think he will, he has to know he has his doubters allready and has for a long time, so this wont come as news to him.

Also, competent individuals under Moshiri, I still say this is your problem as it will be left to him to find them, since he dosent seem to come to games anymore and his best contact in the game seems to be Jim White, leaving him with the job of recruitment is a problem.
I can actually see when the board goes they choose who replaces them as mad as it sounds
