2nd club

The older heads on GOT will know that I support Fortuna Sittard over here in the Netherlands. Grew up supporting them ever since I was six years old. So in that respect Everton are probably my 2nd team, as it was through Fortuna I started to follow and support Everton. Absolutely love both clubs though and will continue to do so till my dying day.

One other club I grew into supporting over the years is Belgian outfit Racing Genk. Not on the same level as Everton and Fortuna, but I very much like to see them doing well.

Used to have a favourite club in almost every country, but given up on that one.

Wouldn't say I have a second team but there are other clubs I take an interest in for various reasons.

In England: Southampton, Brighton, Palace, Crawley Town
Abroad: Union Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Zaragoza, Athletic Bilbao

The only ones I'd say are second teams are Forest Green as I've been to quite a few games home and away over the years down here, and Bochum after watching Bundesliga a lot during covid and subsequently. I track both their results closely.
Got an interest in quite a few clubs that I've seen here and abroad, after good experiences at the grounds, but wouldn't say I was a supporter. Portland Timbers are in contention after having a great time there, but catching the games is tricky.

Motherwell for me.

My mother was from that neck of the woods and when I was up visiting grandparents in the 70's got to go to a couple of games, so followed them ever since. Remember a time when Villa were looking at Willie Pettigrew (Motherwell legend) and were on verge of signing him, but Ron Saunders picked another young Scottish forward instead.....

Think his name was Andy Gray or something........wonder what happened to him....😎

Schalke in Germany (sadly), Levski Sofia locally. Have some preferences for leagues cuz why not but don't really follow everyone other than Everton anyway.
Marine and Sturm Graz. Grandfather played for Marine, my mother is from Graz.
On the above - somewhat dislike Sturm Graz. On the one hand - Sturm is such a great name for a team, but they disqualified above-mentioned Levski on pens at home back in forever ago and it's something I vividly remember for literally no reason

None but I have teams that I like more than others and somewhat would prefer they win when I check the results

Espanyol, Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, LA Galaxy, etc.
