seems so!
Looking at our squad as it stands, I honestly think it might be the optimal formation.
Being generous, I wonder if that played into the thinking surrounding hiring Dyche.
I find the certainty with which some people talk about relegation fairly startling... we're terrible, and we were getting worse under Lampard (I stuck by him right up until Southampton) - but hope isn't lost.I think a big thing that played into Dyche being brought in is that he has previous experience of being relegated and bringing that same squad back up again
It wouldn't shock me if the board know we're down and are just preparing for next season
My bad mate ? agreed with you then - I’ve always liked the idea on paper of those two up front together. The good old little and large tactic, one holds it up and one presses. Both have each other to create space and most importantly carve out better chancesCalvert-Lewins long name just kind of pushed him out wide, was supposed to be 442 ?
They have different skills sets, we have someone who presses and has good movement and one that’s aerially strong. Both need improvement when it comes to pure clinical finishing but to get those guys you need the big bucks or unreal scouting, we have neitherIf we go 442 then we need 2 new strikers.
Dom and Maupay would mean pairing the 2 strikers with the worst technical ability in the league.
Not sure he has the head for Everton anymore mate. Any small mistake and the groans will be deafening.I'd be surprised if he doesn't get Keane back in the side.
He knows how to play him, too, which many managers haven't at Everton.
I think we'll see the return of the good Michael Keane, playing in precisely the role that suits him.
I also think he'll contribute to the goals, because he has a knack for that.
No, they would have gone for EL Loco if they were in that mindset.I think a big thing that played into Dyche being brought in is that he has previous experience of being relegated and bringing that same squad back up again

I doubt very much that Dyche will get less than the fifteen points Lampard got from the first nineteen games, I think he will get closer to twenty or more points which isn’t be enough to keep us up, the football we watch under Dyche can’t be any worse than we suffered under Lampard, just can’t be!!I find the certainty with which some people talk about relegation fairly startling... we're terrible, and we were getting worse under Lampard (I stuck by him right up until Southampton) - but hope isn't lost.
Drilling this squad will make a significant difference. It won't make us great, but I'm certain we'll improve.

or fire Dyche if we are relegated, and then appoint BielsaNo, they would have gone for EL Loco if they were in that mindset.
We'll see. I think he'll be played in a way in which he feels more confident, less exposed and therefore less likely to make a mistake. Not sure he has the head for Everton anymore mate. Any small mistake and the groans will be deafening.
