I think a lot of people are missing the MAIN point here. We are in a fantastic position. We play the 4 teams around us. They are 6 pointers and cup finals. Id rather have the chance to gain 3 points and remove 3 points from your rivals than have to wait and see is others will do it for you. If we're good enough for the champions league we should beat these teams anyway. You have to earn that 4th spot it doesn't come on merit.

That's a good point. If we played the bottom six (and our competition did too) we could win all the games and still not gain a single point on our competition if they win their games too. This way is harder but we do "control our own destiny" to use a cliché. We just have to beat these teams in front of us ... not worry about other teams helping us out. It's a big ask of course but it's pretty straight-forward. These teams aren't infallible -- they aren't doing that much better than us so far.

Spot on mate. It's actually better facing the teams around you than not. You can knock them for 6! If Moyes is really as good as he thinks along with the likes of Fellaini, Baines, Mirallas, Jagielka, Heitinga. All players who probably think they are Champions League quality they need to show it. No good blaming other players etc.

My point is every club has a player that has much better media perception than he deserve and the people that watches him the most dont rate him that much. It doesnt make any sense that vast majority of arsenal fans think he's not better than mertesacker or Koscielny, yet he is seen as a good defender by others. nevilles situation with you guys is perfect example
