4 points off 4th

I think 6th is where we'll end up.
This.

There is absolutely no way whatsoever we'll take over two teams ahead of us and finish 4th. I'd bet anything on it.

6th for us, and no Europe next season.

I want to be optimistic but its hard. Not confident with the teams we have to play and especially them all being away. But this is football and its a crazy game (take Man city on the last day of last season for inspiration). It does only take two flukey wins at Arsenl and Spurs, a bull**** pen or anything and get wins and were up there. Then would happily take a draw at Anfield. Think the Chelsea game will be so important, gonna be an all or nothing game.

I'm always optimistic when I'm hard. It's only natural.

I agree, tbh.

For me it's this. Teams just seem to role over for Tottenham. They have Bale who literally "bails" them out a lot. I don't think they have a better first 11 than us. I think what they have is a slightly better squad and an individual who is capable of scoring from anywhere ATM and at any time.

Arsenal are just Arsenal. Not the great team of the past but they still have some fantastic footballers and a great manager. It's standard for those players to finish in the top 4 and sometimes it helps to have that mentality installed from the beginning.

We drew too many winnable games and gave away too many late goals. 4th place was most likely lost at Norwich home, Reading away, Fulham away, Norwich home, Wigan away etc.

All those games were winnable. Now we are relying on 8 cup finals

hard to get by this isn't it. How many points do you think we would need for 5th ?

Twice in a day I'm agreeing with you. Not sure I'm ok with this to be honest.

5th just requires one of arsenal, spurs and chelsea to slip up and let us past. 4th requires two of them.

5th is possible but not likely. 4th I think is unrealistic as it basically requires at least 8 points out of four games at anfield, white hart lane, emirates and stamford bridge which ain't going to happen.

I reckon we'll get 14 points out of the 24 left and finish on about 65. Which means somebody will have to drop 15 points for us to catch them. But if we get 24 out of 24 we'll finish 3rd so it's all up to us.

I think Tottenham will get 4 wins 1 draw, 2 losses

I think Arsenal will get 5 wins. 1 draw 2 losses

I think we need at least 6. 1 Draw. Allowing 1 loss.

If we get 15 Arsenal need 13 from 24, Chelsea, 11 from 24, Spurs 9 from 21, RS 21 from 24. We definitely need to take points from Arsenal and Chelsea. We probably also need the RS to do us a favour.

EDIT: I think we will get to 66 points (3 home wins, one away win and three draws)
