Sacking him now would create instability and make us look a bit ridiculous. He's done what he was brought in to do. We only wanted him to the end of the season but circumstances allowed him to negotiate a longer contract. Galling though it may be, the extra twelve months pay-off we have to give him will nevertheless be cheaper than being relegated. When he talks about planning for next year, he's just mischief-making, more than likely. He must know he's going. We should wait to the end of the season and then get shot, but the new man - in fact, the entire new management team - should be sorted and planning for the changes required.

Some of you honestly just need to think for a second..

What would actually be the point of sacking him now beyond bringing in our number one choice to replace him.. and that's only if he's available now?

The club are in a very good position right now - we have time to prepare for the next step. If Fonseca is top of the list he won't be leaving Shakhtar before May anyway, so just keep Allardyce in place for now and send him packing with a golden handshake at that time.

We'd look amatuer getting rid of him now and reinstalling Unsworth.. what would honestly be the point of that??

I’m not comparing Jesus to Allardyce mate. More of an observation if the ‘SACK EVERYONE’ nature of modern football.
