No, I'd like it if they said we are getting a new 50k+ seater and the funding is all sorted. However, its likely to be something dull like an agreed area and planning permission which the board will never fund. Ringfence the warchest. No signings. Tara.

Considering it's the transfer window I would, a contract can be signed anytime and a stadium announcement is pointless unless we ACTUALLY HAVE funding for it not "we've found a spot now wait for an investor to help us"

We wouldn't be announcing were changing stadiums though. We'd announce we've found a location or created plans (which will probably be ugly square and tesco friendly) and it'd just be a bit of a meh thing overall.

If they said construction starts in 48 hrs it would be pretty boss. If it was just planning permission was granted I agree with you though.

Doubt it's a stadium anyway, you'd think Elstone and Kenwright would present that rather than Martinez.

For it to be about stadium or investment not only would Martinez be there but also Kenwright and Elstone.

But announcing the signing of someone would not require the huge building up of a major announcement either so we'll just have to wait and see what the fuss is about.
