It's not the fact that Ross has signed a new contract that will start the fume, it's the way it'll be announced, press conferences are usually saved for big signings or announcements, contracts these days are usually announced either with a teaser from the clubs twitter like "Big news at 4! Stay tuned!" or just come out of the blue after some paper speculation

If people cant see why this would be underwhelming then they would seem to be trying to be superfans, of course Barkley signing is great, but so was Baines and Coleman neither got PC, if its a treble contract extension the fair enough but with Evertonians the world over desperate for signings/ambition from the club, but to call a PC for one player signing a new contract (which only improves their value) is a bit Small time
