But not enough people (not just EFC fans) questioning the integrity of the rules and the people in charge of them which is ultimately the main issue at hand here.

The Tory Government pushed through the Saudi takeover of Newcastle despite their being clear signs that the Saudi Govt were not independent to the PIF fund yet a blind eye was turned.

The same Govt who then effectively suspended our USM sponsers which ultimately seen us break "FFP" when you consider our losses were £19.5m - we lost £24m over 2x seasons from the Finch Farm naming rights alone.

Going forward we had a £200-250m naming rights for BMD.

The PL wouldn't even allow the club to have the Siggurdsson losses accounted for during the time he was suspended.

Yet the scab 6 can do as they want, Chelsea, City and Newcastle can financially dope but we get hit with a record punishment for 1 minor breach.

Truth is probably every single club in this league has goosed the books. Which makes it even harder.

well should they follow that logic with the others(which they won't because it'll be a new 'independent commission') then City and Chelsea would be in the glue factory

You shouldn’t get a speeding fine because you have a fast car.

Just as in government, you expect intelligent people in such positions. Not here. The person typing this report must have spat their gin all over their laptop a few times.

This is a key issue around football’s morality. We’re all invested in our own club, which means we dislike our main rival(s). So many fans operate in bad faith when it comes to how we view things like fines and points deductions. It depends where we’re coming from in terms who we support. This extends to owners. It’s why there’s dysfunction in club administration and ownership - nobody is investing in a collective effort to improve how the game operates. If your rival is in bother, then pile on and join in the kicking.

THE most clueless cliche there's been today.

This team cant do a 40 point season much less a 50 point season.

All the positivity is based on the last few - unrepresentative - winning performances.

We are in the worst trouble we've been in for the last three seasons. This is a far greater existential threat than going into the last 2 games or last game of a season with it still in our hands. It's a way greater threat.

We shouldn't have been taking Usmanov's dodgy money in the first place though. If the Finch farm and Stadium deals were for realistic amounts then we could easily replace them.

The Tory government turned a blind eye to Newcastle but we did exactly the same with Usmanov. I mean come on we accepted £30m for first option on naming rights for BMD. That was essentially a corrupt deal.

If interest payments for the stadium count towards P&S then just imagine how much that is going to be for this financial year.
