6 + 2 Point Deductions

By the way, at the time W Ham had to pay 5.5m , Igoe was a director and they put out a statement saying something along the lines of “fair decision as it would be unjust to punish the fans with a points deduction.” You couldn’t make it up.
If all these things coming out about the panel are true then it must make up part of our appeal.

What you have posted is also correct, but it is a worst case scenario. I am a glass half full person, and can not sèe a possible way that we won't win at least one game more than Luton do.

And I am comfortable with compacency - as long as it is me being complacent and not the players 👍
blob on, the world will look a lot different IF we beat United and pull out of the bottom 3 with the next round of games.

All 100% correct but the punishment must fit the crime...
Stealing a car might get you 2 years in jail.
What's happened to us is like getting a death sentence for stealing a car.
Perhaps so and it seems very targeted, but if it took 1-2 years to act against your paltry one charge, it will surely take an eternity for anything meaningful to appear against the ‘big boys’.

Am a Leicester City fan, but I just cannot see how you end up having to pay anything to us,Leeds, etc, etc as compensation, I mean where does it end? Who missed out on Europe? Who would have won the FA cup? It’s all really mucky and unpleasant.

How is that relevant, the fact you stole a car and it broke down does not change the fact you stole it1

Just because you screwed up the cheating does not mean you did not cheat.
May as well hand out the biggest sporting sanction in Premier League history and punish the fans then eh?

Financial rules have been broken, they have been agreed to and signed off by the owner. That's who should be taking the punishment.

I guess Mosh / Bill and the Board must ultimately be responsible for this shambles as they signed off the accounts - but it was surely someone's role to monitor this and highlight our compliance. Who would have been responsible for this and were they listened to? Were they replaced or are they still in the role?

We won't have to pay out anything.. I'm as sure of this as I was as sure that we wouldn't get a points deduction..

Don’t disagree, but the only way to do that is to punish their asset, the club. All other assets would be disconnected.

It would be impossible to work out who has been wronged, you’re correct. Here again the report is stupid. Opens the door to third party legal complaints but clearly states no sporting advantage, and no deliberate attempt to breach. So what possible legal complaint could there be.

Bit of sour grapes because it’s us being punished, so bound to say the report is unfair. The issue is the report/penalty is contradictory and doesn’t look like it’s been put together by anyone at all who applied any common sense at all. I don’t buy in to the “out to get Everton” stuff, it’s just pure incompetence.

Leicester romping back to the PL anyway 👍

Yeah it's down to Moshiri and the idiots we have had managing the team and transfers that it's not given us an advantage - doing what we have done SHOULD have, which is the point I think.

I've seen a few posts about this punishing the fans.
Can anyone explain what this actually means, and give an example of a penalty that doesn't punish the fans?

Not trying to be contrary, I genuinely don't understand it
