6 + 2 Point Deductions

At this stage, we'd all accept it. Until Forest get theirs wiped out on appeal and ours get increased to 6 points. 🤣

Nah appeal two points as that is a complete pee take.

As said above these deductions are all over the place.

Let's remember the first offence (originally) was -10 so regardless of allegiance and bias how can one offence by one club be that and the other -2 for largely the same allegations and over a similar period.

Another issue is Forest. I'm not sure if they can say any more or if their appeal has fully gone through now but they'll be expecting their punishment to go down to -2 if that is the case which will be a problem for the run in. Keep them with four fewer points and make them sweat more coming to Goodison in two weeks.

If -3 is supposed to be an automatic deduction for proven breaches then the commission are just ignoring that anyway and it feels a bit of "Well Everton haven't done anything wrong at all really but we need to look busy anyway to stop this pesky independent regulator so let's deduct them a minimal today anyway" etc.

If we stay up these point deductions won't have mattered. We lose the money for each place higher in the league - about 2 million -but at the moment that's one place. A big ado about not much, really.
There's always the massive trauma, of course.

Don't read too much into the betting markets myself, but interestingly enough the relegation market was closed earlier today.
Back open now, with Forrest, Burnely and Luton below us.

What would really hurt this club is an actual transfer embargo so luckily that doesn't seem to be an actual punishment even though transfers in and out are a major requirement of FFP.

Could you actually imagine if the verdict was banned from signing any players at all for fees and still have to sell Branthwaite. The only option then would just rely on the other four contracted CBs at the club and then sign someone on a free transfer which in reality would be Young standard.

That would hurt over the next 12 months than another two points off.

Forest's appeal should be heard by the end of the week if it hasn't already.

Absolutely no reason at all that we should all accept it, PL are literally making it up as they go along as a means of showing/proving there’s no need for an independent regulator!
Why should we be punished by two points deductions in the same season, along with Forest and Leicester both being punished? Yet strangely end of the season the rules change making it more than likely that points deductions become a thing of the past!
The whole process stinks, and is being manipulated to make sure certain clubs are “protected”!

Sits back and waits to have head patted by a certain Chelsea “follower”!

Why would it have closed anyway with Luton actually winning a game on Saturday? Their odds would've narrowed considerably given they're now back level with Forest.
