Everton have made a profit in the transfer market over the last five years

It has just come to light, that Everton are the only club in the Premier League to have made a profit in the transfer market over the last five years.
Here is the table in full.
TeamNet spend
Arsenal£-469m
Aston Villa£-216m
Bournemouth£-127m
Brentford£-95m
Brighton£-49m
Chelsea£-772m
Crystal Palace£-145m
Everton£27m (profit)
Fulham£-123m
Ipswich Town£-111m
Leicester City£-17m
Liverpool£-252m
Manchester City£-142m
Manchester United£-548m
Newcastle United£-366m
Nottingham Forest£-221m
Southampton£-64m
Tottenham Hotspur£-473m
West Ham United£-276m
Wolves£-31m
Whilst that’s evidently not a bad thing for the club on a financial basis, it does show the lack of investment in the squad.
So it’s hardly surprising Everton have been on a steep decline ever since Carlo Ancelotti’s departure in 2021.

Also shows how badly we're being run that the spending elsewhere and other incomes are even making PSR an issue.

The major problem is the wages players are getting without delivering much in return. We`ve been victim to this over the years but happily seem to be coming out the other side with the new ground hopefully opening up new revenue that I hope won`t be thrown at beefing up players wages. I`m all for players reaping the benefits of their success, but the ways its gone in football most seem to be reaping the benefits of their inability to succeed.

I wouldn't just attribute since Ancelotti's departure. It's been indicative of Everton since Moyes first stint, with Robert Elstone failing to attract sponsorship deals for the club that match are position in the game.

Always felt we should have easily kept pace with Spurs on that front and seeing the vast difference in revenue between us two is a key factor. In all our problems.

Sponsorship deals is probably the biggest factor in success for clubs these days, why City broke all them rules years ago to make sure they have revenue flowing in. Something we tried but failed when the Russian war broke out.

How are Bournemouth and Fulham spending so much and being compliant?

How are Bournemouth and Fulham spending so much and being compliant?
And wham, palace and Brentford - their turnover can’t be great, nor can it just be the wages they are paying…

Even the scabs6 just can’t be compliant, wider than United and Chelsea.

It was just another stitch up to help the scab6 out, and now that a few of the chosen clubs have fallen foul of it, it gets lashed in the bin for this year!?

The other 14 need to collectively grow a spine and start kicking off about this favouritism crap.

Wage bills or more specifically extremely high wage to turnover ratio, why both us and Leicester have been under the scunity with PSR.

No, as it’s about more than just net spend.
But it is isn't it? However it is calculated/worked out, the rule is you're allowed to make a loss of £135m over 3 seasons, correct? So that is basically net spend. So if we're at +£80m for the last two seasons then we could lose £215m this season and still be within that limit (for this season at least).
