Interesting to see that Mendy that has just been declared innocent is asking city for his salary due since he was suspended back in September 2021. Very different approach to everton with case x...where we decided to pay even if he couldn't play. Wondering if this can add more trouble to city as I am sure they will have to add that to any ffp calculation for those years as payment was due but never received. More fuel for our appeal I think...I think we took the right approach with player x from a human perspective.

Wonder if his registration was cancelled like player X’s. Can’t understand why this mitigation was dismissed seemingly out of hand as it immediately reduces his resale value to nil & there are still wages to consider. Can’t believe it’s routine for the Premier League to cancel players registrations as they intimated it was a ‘normal’ business risk.

If the shoe was on the other foot, would we support another club in fighting a 10 point deduction.
Let's say Aston villa, Brighton or Fulham were giving a 10 point deduction. I think we would all agree that it was a harsh penalty but really would we all fight and help that club. Not a chance.

If I’m Everton I’d be appealing more than just one bloody issue….dispense with issues not winnable, but focus on appealing issues outside of our control and then the sanctions. Leaving a lot of eggs in one basket if that’s the only issue being appealed.
