But you know what would have been better, if all the Merseyside MPs had got together to hand in a joint communique to the PL and it's 'independent' commission prior to their sitting that their judgement - and certainly any punishment they arrived at - should be considered in relation to the social and economic importance of the club and its place in one of the most deprived areas of the United Kingdom - that it's had no state aid to fund the stadium that will be a driver for regeneration, and that changes in the way that interest paid on infrastructure developments made by the PL during the period of accountancy for this period FFP caught the club out through no fault of its own.
All this is a bit 'locking the stale door after the horse has bolted'.
