Highlighting the complete failings of their rules and processes, just in time for a couple of their cash cows to get off with a slap on the wrist.

Was always going to be the case. Many called it at the time of the initial deduction.

It’s absolute madness when you think the PL rules for PSR breaches have a range of punishment options open to them. Fines, transfers bans, even doing nothing….but they chose points deductions. They pursued them with vigour in all cases. Now they’re not fit for purpose?

As we’ve known all along only a certain number/type of club will get these draconian punishments.

With clubs like Spurs and Chelsea facing potential sanctions, and Newcastle unable to compete, of course they were going to do this.

Without reading the article, I’d always suspected they would bring in essence a bond system, where you have to guarantee a pot of money.

If you can say here’s £500m to guarantee loses for say five years, they’ll let you use that much money. It’ll let the rich owners they want.

Apparently there’s only been 2 dives in the last 7 years.
